What is iYi Pay?

iYi Pay is the WooCommerce payments plugin for stores that start on Paystack and sometimes need Stripe.

One WooCommerce gateway. Two processors.

At checkout, customers see one method. You choose the processor under WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → iYi Pay.

The same method works on classic checkout and the Checkout block.

  1. WooCommerce
  2. iYi Pay
  3. PaystackStripe
WooCommerce sends checkout to iYi Pay, which uses either Paystack or Stripe.

Paystack first

Paystack is the default. The customer is redirected to Paystack to pay by card, bank, or mobile money.

Switch to Stripe when you need it

Switch the processor to Stripe to use standard Stripe Checkout instead. Keys for the processor you are not using stay saved.

  1. iYi Pay
  2. PaystackStripe Checkout
One processor is active. The other set of keys stays saved.

Payment verification

The plugin confirms every payment with Paystack or Stripe before it marks the order paid, including the amount and currency.

  2. Processor response
  3. iYi Pay
  4. WooCommerce order
A payment is verified with the processor before the WooCommerce order is marked paid.

Webhooks

Webhook URLs are shown in the gateway settings. Paystack and Stripe can notify the store so the order is marked paid even if the shopper never returns.

Refunds

Refunds from the WooCommerce order screen are sent to the active processor.

Test and live mode

Test and live keys are saved together. Test mode charges with test keys; turning it off charges with live keys.

Test

Test keys are charged while test mode is on.

Live

Live keys are charged when test mode is off.

Test credentials and live credentials are stored together.

WooCommerce configuration

Open WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → iYi Pay. Choose the processor, turn test mode on or off, and paste the keys for that processor. Copy the webhook URL from the same screen into the Paystack or Stripe dashboard.
